on insecurity and jealousy.

something the Lord revealed to me today is that part of my insecurity stems from how others in my life have made me feel bad about my accomplishments.
.
.
call it lucky, blessed, or over-achiever, but i’m always striving for greatness. .
jealousy is debilitating, guys. those seemingly innocent comments like “how does this always happen to you?” —- nurture the opposite of gratitude.
.
jealousy can not only affect us, but those we are jealous of. the comparison trap is a dangerous game to play, and we might find ourselves in quicksand after the first comparison.
.
.
don’t feel bad for where you are and for the things you have built & accomplished, if they were built in good faith using your God-given, or God-developed, talents.

2 Corinthians 10:12
“Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding.”
