There are days when the flowers definitely seem to be wilting and fading in color.
Choosing to trust God when He seems to be silent is one of the toughest things. But dear friends, hold fast through the tears, through the heartache, through the seemingly-empty feelings/decisions/promises.
God, I know that the moments when I don't feel you are the moments when you are closest to me. It's easy to trust and praise God when His work is evident in our lives, and when we feel the Spirit's glee within us, making us joyful. But the second we allow the desires of the flesh and those feelings that dig us a grave... including jealousy, pride, - we are creating a cloud of sorrow and regret for ourselves. A moment of passion and gluttony can so quickly catapult us into a sea of emptiness -- we are compromising our faith without (maybe) even realizing it and robbing ourselves of the awareness of the Spirit moving in our lives. Due to the fact that our perspective is being switched up on us. The enemy is trying to distract us from God - and with every success he has in winning us over and throwing our path - he brings us to neglect the blessings in our lives - even to the point of forgetfulness. Even through the tumultuous storms that rock our waters, we must keep our eyes on our dock - God.
