Yesterday, my car wouldn't start. 🚘💨 I let that moment ruin my entire morning and my Zen for the day. Then I remembered... there are people that don't have cars in this country - who rely on public transportation, even on weekends. There are people in Africa who don't have access to clean water, and here in the U.S. we have every kind of water we could possibly desire - Vitamin Water, Evian, Poland Spring, Seltzer Water, Tap water (filtered or not), Smart Water, Cucumber mint infused water, etc. (Yes, Flint, MI is an exception to this, unfortunately: http://www.helpforflint.com). There are people in Pakistan who have no bathroom or kitchen; who cook on wood fire on the ground and wash their clothes at a tap at a school. A kitchen stove, a bathroom, a washing machine. Rooms and appliances we use every day in different buildings that we take for granted. Water... an essential resource for life. In Afghanistan, the Taliban is severely oppressing women's rights -- before the Free & Compulsory Education Bill in 2012, girls were not allowed to go to school and women were barred from working outside the home. Elementary school, Middle School, High School, College... all homes of education where it's a given that everyone will attend at one point or another (with the exception of college in some instances, I suppose).

... And there I was complaining about a car, which is a luxury. Next time you feel frustrated over something material not working according to plan, count your blessings. #stayhumble #staywoke #GlobalPerspective #firstworldproblems
